Radiohead’s guitarist Jonny Greenwood will release his soundtrack to forthcoming movie “Norwegian Wood” on March 7th.
The soundtrack is the theme, composed by the artist, for the Japanese adaptation of Haruki Murakami’s 1987 novel, directed by Anh Hung Tran (“I Come With The Rain”, “Xich Io” and “Lo’odeur de la papaye vete”)and starring Rinko Kikuchi, Kenichi Matsuyama and Kiko Mizuhara.
The movie, also, was screened during the last Venice Film Festival 2010, with applauses by critics.
Greenwood has worked, for the soundtrack, with the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Emperor Quartet.
His career, in cinema, includes the score for 2003’s “Bodysong” and the multi-Academy Awards winning “There Will Be Blood”, for wich he was awared of Best Film Score at the Evening Standard British Film Awards and the Ivor Novello Awards for Best Original Score.
Radiohead’s eight album is ready to be recorded, in LA, according to Thom Yorke’s interviews, and Jonny seems to have enough to say and play with his art.
