Last Saturday, at the Cannes Fil Festival 2012, Composer Alexandre Desplat returned to evoke the great scores that have been an inspiration to him, with extracts: The Misfits (Alex North), Witness (Maurice Jarre), The Soft Skin (Georges Delerue ), Ran Toru Takemitsu)…
In 2006, he gave a first lesson on his work and his collaboration with Jacques Audiard, for whom he has composed the music to the complete oeuvre of films.
A composer with many awards to his credit, both in France and abroad, nominated four times for an Oscar for the best music score, Alexandre Desplat composed the music of four of the films in the 2012 Official Selection: Moonrise Kingdom by Wes Anderson, Rust and Bone by Jacques Audiard, Reality by Matteo Garone and Renoir by Gilles Bourdos.
